This sunny, warm day in May was spent absolutely full of love for Lilly and Billy with their friends and family all around them. Their first look took place at the top of the deck stairs at Lilly’s parents’ home that overlooks the Illinois river and bluffs. It was gorgeous!
Billy made several custom items for the wedding, including the giant-sized adirondack chair for the guests to sign and the chalkboard background sign at the ceremony. Talk about crazy talented!
Ing’s Event Planning worked with Lilly and Billy to make their design ideas come to life, and together they had an amazing vision for the decor at the ceremony and reception. Check out the golden wheelbarrow and the canoe that held drinks outside for the guests, and all of the other amazing details.
The “appetizer buffet” spread created by Chef Kristen Delbo was hands down my favorite wedding food ever. Kristen is a crazy good chef. There was a taco bar, chicken & waffles, and even a mashed potato bar. If you’re someone who likes food like I do, it was heaven!
Lilly and Billy are two of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever met. Their focus on their wedding day was not on traditions or doing things that they were “supposed” to do … instead it was on having a great time with each other and with their closest friends and family, and truly celebrating the love between them. I loved everything about their day, and getting the opportunity to spend it with them and know them better.
