It’s going to sound silly, but I’m a ridiculously sentimental person (which might be a helpful trait with this job?) and I completely fall in love with my couples. It’s really hard not to, when they’re such wonderful humans. Alexis found me on The Knot about a year and a half before her wedding, and we met up a month later, around the fourth of July, in Warrensburg. We drank coffee and chatted at the cutest little café … for about two hours. 🙂 I loved hearing all about their story and how they fell in love on a road trip, to hearing about James’ ten-year-old daughter Paige (I LOVE when families are brought together at weddings, just like my own was!), to hearing about their wedding plans and dreams. Alexis and James’ wedding took place in her hometown of Moberly, Missouri, at the church across the street from the school where her dad had been the principal. As I put together the photos for this blog post, I found myself grinning the entire time … I love when people can feel comfortable and like themselves even when I’m taking a million photos of them. Hopefully every time Alexis, James and Paige look at these photos, they can vividly remember how good they felt on this really special day.
