Can I say again that I love my job? Meeting new people, going to meetings and engagement sessions and finally photographing them on their wedding day … it gives me life.
Krissy and Andrew are amazing people. We initially chatted on the phone, after a mutual friend had given Krissy my name. (Thank you, Kath!) We met for the first time at their engagement session in St. Louis. I got to meet their sweet, sweet pup, Zooey (who has her own Instagram that I found out ANDREW runs! I love it!) After I came home from the session, I told my husband, these people are really, really cool.
I love so many things about them. They’re incredibly smart, kind, funny, and genuinely so enjoyable to be around. I feel like they’re *my* people … and that’s one of the best feelings I think we get to experience as humans, feeling and being understand by others that we want to connect with.
Their wedding day was on a cool, sunny day at the beginning of spring. We were thankful for the sun, as the air was still definitely chilly. Upon arriving in St. Louis, I drove to our photo locations. I was delighted to see that a few of the spring blooming trees were already flowering. So, so pretty! Krissy was so calm and happy as soon as I got to her hotel, ready to start the day and get married to her Andrew.
The ceremony and reception took place at a neat venue that I hadn’t been to before (but hope I get to go back to again!) called SqWires. The building itself is an old wire factory that has been renovated and is now a restaurant and an Annex. The bouquets were made out of wooden flowers with wire accents! Toward the end of the reception, pretzels arrived for a late-night snack.
Thanks to all who contributed to this beautiful wedding!
