Maria and Charlie contacted me a few months ago about their upcoming wedding … but they then decide to get married even sooner than they had originally planned. So they are actually married already, but we still wanted to do a photo session to tell their love story in a less formal way. I get to photograph their wedding reception that is taking place in June, and it sounds like it is going to be so amazing. I love hanging out with people and getting to know them. Maria and Charlie live in Chicago, and asked me if I would be open to coming up there for the session, and I told them I would love to. It was so. much. fun. to be up there shooting in a completely different environment from what I am used to. Don’t get me wrong, I love our Peoria area locations (I really do!), but it is just so invigorating to photograph in a new and different environment. It was amazing. We started at the gorgeous Bahai Temple north of Chicago, and made our way into the city to shoot at Galerie F in Logan Square (where Maria & Charlie bought some art for their new apartment), and we finished up downtown near the Art Institute, surrounded by blooming trees. It was so much fun to hang out with these two, and I really love the photos we were able to take at their session.
